SILENT FORCE Guitarist Schedules Dutch Workshop

August 15, 2008

SILENT FORCE/VOODOO CIRCLE guitarist Alex Beyrodt will take part in a Fender guitar workshop on August 30 at Music Vriese in Doetinchem, Holland. The event starts at 1:00 p.m.

Alex Beyrodt has completed work on his first solo album which will be released under the VOODOO CIRCLE banner.

VOODOO CIRCLE is:

Alex Beyrodt - Guitar
David Readman (PINK CREAM 69) - Vocals
Mat Sinner (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER) - Bass
Mel Gaynor (SIMPLE MINDS, GARY MOORE, BRIAN MAY) - Drums
Jimmy Kresic - Keyboards

The CD features guest appearances by the following musicians:

Doogie White (RAINBOW, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN'S RISING FORCE)
Rudy Sarzo (QUIET RIOT, OZZY OSBOURNE, WHITESNAKE, DIO)
Richard Andersson (MAJESTIC, TIME REQUIEM, SPACE ODYSSEY)
Norifumu Shima (CONCERTO MOON)

In a 2007 interview with The Mayfair Mall, Beyrodt stated about the VOODOO CIRCLE album, "[Mel] played in SAMSON when Bruce Dickinson was in the band; he's also played with Gary Moore and Brian May. He lives over here in Germany and I'm very proud to say he's become a great friend of mine... We have a guy also who looks like Jon Lord and plays like Jon Lord, and there's me. It's even more vintage than SILENT FORCE. It's been too long and it needs to be done. I really enjoy this style, you know?! To me, there's no band nowadays that play in that style; DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, the old masters of course still do, particularly DEEP PURPLE, of course, but I feel really proud to be able to put my own interpretation on it."

SILENT FORCE's fourth album, "Walk the Earth", was released in Europe in February 2007 via AFM Records (the CD was issued in the U.S. on May 22 via Locomotive)). The German label has also reissued the band's first two albums — "The Empire of Future" (2000) and "Infatuator" (2001). "The Empire of Future" contains an acoustic version of the song "Saints and Sinners" as a bonus, while "Infatuator" includes a bonus live video of the title track.
